The Capital City Web Awards (CCWA) will recognize outstanding online (scripted / non-scripted) series created by and/or featuring people of color in 14 categories including directing, acting, hosting and writing.
Created by Anthony Anderson, creator of the Emmy Award winning series 'Anacostia,' the Capital City Web Awards will provide a platform that is long overdue to award those creators of color that are often unnoticed and underappreciated.
"Sometimes these shows don’t get the attention or coverage they deserve. They work really hard and you can see the passion and dedication in the work. I know how it is to work with next to no budget but still somehow create a project that doesn’t reflect that. This award show is for those individuals that refused to quit." -Anthony Anderson
